John Sklavounos was born in Athens and studied medicine at the University of Patras.
He completed his specialty and sub- specialty studies in Obstetrics-Gynecology entirely in Great Britain.
His training fully encompassed the sub-specialties of Reproductive Medicine and Infertility, including Maternal-Fetal Medicine. He also acquired considerable experience in monitoring high-risk pregnancies, Urogynecology, General Obstetrics -Gynecology and Colposcopy.
The hospitals where he trained include Liverpool Women’s Hospital, the largest university Obstetrics-Gynecology Hospital in Great Britain, which deals with high-risk pregnancies of about half the population of the country.
He also trained at Liverpool University Hospital Aintree, the second- largest general hospital in the country, and other major hospitals in Manchester and Leeds.
